Nicosia is a city of development and change. From the Venetian walls and the charm of the old town, to the modern buildings high-rise buildings. Several major universities have their home here, which of course leaves its mark and makes Nicosia a true international university city.
The EUC is a modern university in southern Europe, with state-of-the-art technology, equipment, laboratories and facilities.
The campus is centrally located, with student accommodation and all departments within walking distance of the city centre, shopping, restaurants and the historic quarters.
Our 6 faculties and 12 departments offer 90 different degree programmes. 10,000 students from 90 nations are enrolled at the university.
Student accommodation
We guarantee accommodation for all students from Scandinavia. Located just minutes from campus, the student residences are designed to offer students high-quality living spaces in stylish studios and one-bedroom apartments complemented by large social spaces, in-house gym, laundry facilities and 24-hour concierge service.
Leisure and sports activities
In addition to academic life, there are also sporting activities on offer for those who are interested. The EUC sports programme is an integral part of university life. There are organised teams in football, indoor football, basketball, volleyball, handball, athletics, judo, tennis and badminton.
There are also many lively student societies for dance, music, trekking, yoga, bowling, as well as subject societies in medicine, business, law, etc. Of course, there will also be time to explore Cyprus on your own, from picturesque mountain villages, sandy beaches, ancient ruins to bustling cities.
History
- The organisation started in 1961, under the name Cyprus Collage.
- During the 1980s and 1990s, the school expanded and was recognised by the Cypriot Ministry of Education and Culture.
- Further in the 2000s, its Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes were accredited, and the school subsequently gained university status.
- In 2013, the Faculty of Medicine started.
- In 2022, the EUC established its sister medical school in Frankfurt, offering the same award-winning infrastructure, facilities and globally recognised degree programmes in this Western European hub.
